Our statement of faith
What we believe
A short summary of the convictions that shape our studio. Written to be clear, inviting, and respectful of every family in our community.
At the core
Reverence Studios is founded on Christian faith. Our convictions shape who we are, how we teach, and how we treat every dancer and family in our care.
We believe in:
- One God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — who is love, who sees each person, and who delights in beauty.
- Jesus Christ as God incarnate, who came to restore what is broken and to make all things new.
- Scripture as trustworthy, life-giving, and the ultimate source for our ethics and values.
- The Church — the global community of Christ's followers across time, place, and tradition — as the context in which our faith is practiced.
- Every person as created in God's image, infinitely valuable, and worthy of dignity regardless of background, ability, or belief.
How this shapes the studio
Dance as gift. We view each dancer's body and artistry as a gift, not a performance metric. Teachers are trained to honor that.
Excellence as stewardship. Technical excellence matters because the craft is worth caring for. Not because any student must earn their place.
Grace in daily practice. We meet dancers where they are. We extend grace generously. We do not shame.
Community across difference. We serve families of many faith backgrounds and none. Faith is present in our culture — never imposed on anyone's family.
What this isn't
This statement of faith is not a requirement for participation in any class that isn't specifically ministry-oriented. Families and dancers of every background are welcomed in our regular classes without any expectation of shared belief.
We do not test doctrine, require statements of faith from families, or treat non-participation in faith content as a problem.
If you have questions about how this plays out for your specific family, please reach out. We'd rather talk than leave you guessing.
